1.21 Support

Hi, i wanted to know when 1.21 support will be out since my server is 1.21 and its being getting really delayed as its based on itemsadder

not_vision as a server owner with server based on custom “infrastructure”, it’s not good idea to update server when not all of things are securely tested.

Paper is experimental for testing purposes, not for production. IAv4 for 1.20.6 is for testing rn too.

We all have to wait as everything need to be finished first and only then update server.

My server is working on 1.20.4, without viathings.

1.20.4 only and the players need to understand why. When you want to have server on 1.21, unstable, your choice, but its not recommended in its current state for production.

Best to do is downgrade and wait.

I havent upgraded the main to 1.21.. i have to launch a new season for 1.21 and for the stable builds. the Paper builds are pretty much stable now.

i need an ETA for the 1.21 update.

I agree, I’m currently updating to 1.21 and paper builds are really stable as of right now. Itemsadder is the only plugin I have that isn’t update. I’ve considered finding alternatives because if the extended delay.

@LoneDev Many customers are stuck. Kindly give an ETA. So we can plan accordingly. The staff saying it hasnt been even started yet makes it more unreliable.

Waiting for IA to support 1.21 - or even 1.20.5 or 1.20.6 has been hell and has nearly killed my server as people go off to play the newer updates.

It is especially disappointing when similar custom resource pack plugins have had support for these versions for months now.

OhSoGamer I agree. i've had to launch new season of my server based on 1.21. and i thought it wouldnt take less than 15 days for all devs to update and they did however only IA is left whereas all the major plugins elsewhere are updated. i cant launch my new season since it was all based on IA.

Considering the fact that they are working out 1.20.6 right now that too in BETA mode. i dont know when will 1.21 stable version will come it. it might take them more than 3 months or so. There is no ETA as well to mention.

not_vision @LoneDev is waiting for ProtocolLib to update, but ProtocolLib takes months and months to update to a stable build. There are dev builds out for 1.21 ProtocolLib at the moment, so IA could indeed be updated.

psycheer If you ever tested out the paper builds. they are pretty much stable now. As confirmed by the other major plugin devs as well.

Every other single major plugin on market is now updated to 1.21. take it CMI,vulcan,AdvancedPlugins,Oraxen and many much more to count.
