Yeah, I've been using itemsadder for a few years without any issues. It started happening after updating to 1.21.
I first noticed the issue in my test server while moving custom items to new crates, one item was saying it was damaged but I couldn't repair it. At the time I thought it was just a one-off so replaced it with a new item and carried on with the update. Now that the server's are live, lots of people are reporting no durability change when using or trying to repair custom items.
Here's an emaple, the item has been repaired the the green health bar has gone, but the durability shows it has 1828 / 2031
