Version compatibility question

The latest versions of itemsadder will run 1.20.6+ and older version compatibility will be dropped (my understanding from the polls)

So, I have survival worlds on 1.21.1, but my lobby is on 1.19. Players load the texturepack in the lobby and are not asked for it again when they join the server. Will I need to update my lobby to 1.21 to keep using Itemsadder or will the older versions still work for loading the texturepack?

I do intend on updating my Lobby, I'd just rather not do a complete update in one day if possible 😩

I am honestly not sure about this, it will unlikely work and always require the pack again when they join the 1.21 server due to all the changes that Mojang have made. I recommend you look to update your hub.

Well I ended up just updating my lobby to 1.21, but now the pack is loaded again on all servers, even though apply-on-join is set to false lol

StephenOrchard That is very strange behaviour as Minecraft itself fixed RP loading in 1.21 and it should not ask again for RP download if the pack is exactly the same.

Can you somehow show us how is your IA configured with host on lobby and on main server? And make sure same IA version and same server version even a fork is the same accross all servers.

Hi, I already solved it, I have a hub version 1.20.4, a logging plugin, to solve this I installed the ConditionalEvents plugin, and created an event in which when a player enters, I send him the texturepack prompt, then create another event so that when the player loaded the texturepack it would teleport him to the lobby, and this is how it works in all versions from 1.20.4 onwards

revo8298 for that is easier solution with just a installation of OneTimePack plugin for velocity

But again, after 1.21 is not needed anymore
