I would like to post a ticket to ask for help.
I have been using ItemsAdder for some time to develop my server and I use a few custom item packs.
I have no bugs to report but in certain packs, and more particularly armor, I noticed that the āhelmetā was very often configured as a āpaperā and not "classic helmet" like āleather_helmetā. For playability concerns on my server I would like to change this. I want to move from the āpaperā material to those categorized by āleather_helmetā.
Except that I can't get this change to work completely, a problem with the textures arises.
Let me explain :
- In the config file of these packs, I change the āmaterial: PAPERā part to āmaterial: LEATHER_HELMETā. So far, no problem.
- I do a /iazip.
- I select the custom helmet whose initial material I wanted to change and there, as soon as I want to equip it, the item takes on the basic appearance of a leather_helmet and not its custom appearance. If I have the item (leather_helmet custom) in my hand, the texture is the right one (the custom one) but as soon as I equip it, nothing more, the texture is that of basic Minecraft, that of a helmet in leatherā¦
I tried to change many parameters and carried out numerous tests but nothing worked, I can't fix this little problem. I also took help from the wiki but despite that, it still didn't work.
For your part, do you have some suggestions to give me in order to enlighten me on the steps to follow to overcome this problem so that the texture is properly loaded once the item is equipped?
