Ticking Armor Stands

I asked a question about ticking armor stands a few days ago and it was locked for some reason.

I was asking about an old conversation about being able to disable ticking stands where they don't need to and was told they don't tick but I am pretty sure they are? Just checking /paper entity list shows a ton of ticking armor stands and the only real instance of armor stand use on my server is with furniture. Maybe a bug? Or something I need to change in config to prevent this?

I disable armor stands ticking.

The only case when armor stands ticking is enabled is when you use a vehicle. It must tick to move.
